Colin,

I can comment on two.

Arizona didn't go onto Daylight Savings Time because it already had so much sunlight that it hurt. If God had meant man to have more daylight, he'd have made the nights shorter, said a commentator. However, the Navajo Nation opted to go onto Daylight Savings Time, while the Hopi Nation didn't. So, and I quote from a slim book on the subject, if you have an appointment at Oraibi in summer, set your watch ahead as you cross the Navaho reservation, and set it back as you cross the Hopi Reservation. Then put it in the glove compartment.

TV wasn't invented in Rigby, Idaho in 1922. There was a stream of inventions from various people in various places, including John Logie Baird in Scotland. Philo Farnsworth in Rigby invented an electronic version.

Hugh.
