Same applies to UK – computer stuff generally 25% to 50% more for the same stuff [made in china for example].
and don’t get me started about cars!
I recall when uk became a member of the EU, prices of cars from europe were supposed to drop to EU prices – it never happened, UK slapped a ‘tariff’ on and prices remained the same. 
I don’t recall the prices of any european goods sold in UK dropping [as was expected] when uk joined EU.
