usual bullshit..............drive talent away and restrict growth.

we get the same bullshit here from republicans when attempts are made to raise the minimum hourly rate.....small businesses will have to close and unemployment will raise and, under their breath – it is only necessary to have a minimum rate to stop them from starving, they are just being irresponsible by being poor.

incidentally, the minimum wage for workers who get tips is $2.75/hr – and forget any benefits.
if that isn’t bad enough the IRS estimates the tips they may [or may not] have received if a minimum threshold is not declared - and taxes them accordingly.

and these laws are made by bastards who get $174,000 p.a.with every benny known to man.

the present sequestration, which will affect many [the poor more than any one else] doesn’t make a jot or tarradiddle difference to their salary.........situation normal.

Chancellor George Osborne has told European Union finance ministers that he cannot support proposals to curb bankers' bonuses.

At a meeting of the EU's Economic and Financial Affairs Council in Brussels he appealed for further negotiations.

The meeting discussed a possible "tweaking" of plans to limit bonuses to 100% of a banker's annual salary, or to 200% if shareholders approve.

The City of London fears the rules will drive away talent and restrict growth.
