I read your appreciation of the email about "Little Darlin'". It's nice to hear from you again.

I'm up early checking on trains, and it's raining in Port Glasgow.  All is very quiet.  I've an appointment in Helensburgh tomorrow - a group of us are preparing an appreciation of the late Tom Gallacher, playwright and author, ex-colleague of mine in a Danish shipyard drawing office.  I'm still wondering what to say and where all the files are.

Apart from hay fever and Janet's knee (wear and tear, we are told) we are fine.  I trust you are still hale and hearty.
