Family Mobile is available from Walmart in the US but the cell phone cost and service is nothing like you mention.
The phones are expensive and the minimum monthly service is $39.99.
So how much was your cell phone and what are the service costs involved?
[seems unbelievable inexpensive – what are you not telling?]
ct
PS how does Family Mobile make a profit?

Colin & Hugh,
For the last 3 years I have been on FAMILY MOBILE all I had to do was pay them £10 and agree for them to draw from my current account another £10 every time my account with them reduced to £5.50. During this last 3 years they have only taken one £10 from my Cu Acc apart the first £10. As you can see I do not use a mobile very much.
Malcolm.

Colin,
My phone is a little Samsung that does text and voice, basically just these. It cost me £10 and I put £10 in every few weeks. I take photos with a camera, and I don't find that inconvenient. I leave computers behind when I leave the house.
Hugh.
