Listers should be aware that the Queen of the UK is also The Queen of Australia and The Queen of New Zealand. Each the three countries have their own Honours and Decoration Committees. 

For instance one of our sons-in-law is an Army officer in the Australian Defence Force. He was seconded to serve with The Coldstream Guards in London. While serving there he was sent to Iraq and so was awarded the Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan by the UK Govt.

However, HM The Queen of Australia will not allow him to wear it on his medal bar, while in Australian Uniform, unless he is serving in the UK or seconded to a UK unit elsewhere in the world.
