Mike,

I tend to be wary of walls. Once, when we were in our latish teens, my pals
and I were walking up the hill alongside one of the walls of Greenock
Cemetery (biggest municipal cemetery in Europe, I believe). The wall there
is about six feet high, and the ground behind it varies from invisible to
sloping up above it. On one of the former stretches we decided to go over
the wall, it being dark, and we felt like a walk in a cemetery in the dark.
The bold Alan leapt up and went over the wall first. We heard a thud and a
strangled obscenity. There was drop of about ten feet on the other side. We
followed him carefully.

Hugh.
