3:20 PM CSTthis is the party that sold its soul to white racism with the Southern strategy of the 1960-80's. They have engineered the greatest concentration of wealth in the fewest hands, leaving our economy starved while millions sit on the sidelines. They have appealed to our basest instincts with their anti-gay, anti-immigration, anti-union rhetoric, blaming the American voters for being "bought off" by government programs and "envious" of the rich. They took a balanced budget and slashed revenue, started two wars on Chinese credit, and now want to drape themselves in the mantle of fiscal conservancy. That they are in power at all speaks only to the ideological zealotry and ignorance of their supporters, and explains why they have created their own fantasy reality bubble which, although it didn't pop, at least developed a serious leak in the past election.
