[BITList] Winter in New Orleans

Colin,

One winter in Tucson, Az, (we spent Christmas there with my sister Margaret), Janet and I, and my sister Anna, were enjoying the balmy 80F temperature. Janet and Anna were sitting outside on deck chairs, to the consternation of neighbours who were concerned lest they freeze to death. Eventually they yielded to public pressure (gave a polite shiver or two) and went indoors much confused.  Being basically highish altitude desert, Tucson is pretty cold overnight until the sun comes up - ice on puddles, and a lot of frost - but the days are rather warm by our standards.
