"Any new nation state", he says.  I've not come down on one side or another 
yet, but that's not my idea of what an independent Scotland would be.  We've 
always had separate laws, language and history, and we now have separate 
education, health service, etc.  Calling the relationship a Union doesn't 
change any of that.
