In Denmark, 1965-67, I was never offered a glass of beer - always the bottle.  When I offered the local Jehovah's Witness a bottle of lager, he accepted it, much to my surprise.  Coffee or tea he would not have accepted, he said.  Being Danish, he was suprised at my surprise.
