I did meet him, twice when he was the guest speaker at our Rotary Dinner.
The dinner cost £30. His fee was £1000 and as much Guinness has he could
drink (which was a lot) and he had a full audience both times he came and
the Rotary made quite a bit of money. He was just like you see him on the TV
except that when you see him live he swears like a trooper or a man who has
been in the merchant navy.
