Mike,

She certainly got launched, but it would not be my favourite way of doing 
it.  To many sources of disaster at the critical stage.  Some of the launch 
disaster videos to one side are interesting.  My great great grandmother's 
first and only husband  was one of those drowned  when the collier "Daphne" 
capsized on launch from Stephens' Linthouse yard in Govan in 1883. He wasn't 
the father of her son, my great grandfather.
