Hi John,
            not bitlists fault but my own, just changed over from a wheezing laptop top to a new tower etc. Worst problem is getting used to a qwerty keyboard again having been on French for nearly twenty years, no problems now, Hugh has been receiving my forwards.

Try Gmail, they strip all viruses and all spam from your mail.
In situations such as you describe I generally remove the address from the List then resubscribe them.
