Despite the fact that it's all being held in London, it will be a UK event, we read - actually, as far as the non-London UK is concerned, it will be a UK TV event. Of course, paying for it all will be a UK event. Just as well the Thames no longer is festooned with turds and toilet paper, though I doubt if HM is as naive as her predecessor. She would not have to be told all the bits of paper are loyal messages from her subjects.
