Greatest catch ever? Bevan Small and Michael Mason combine to dismiss Brad Wilson in New Zealand's T20

As acrobatic catches go, this takes some beating. Central Stags duo Bevan Small and Michael Mason combined to take the wicket of Northern Knights batsman Brad Wilson with what has to be one of the best catches you will ever see.

During a match between the Knights and the Stags at Mount Maunganui's Bay Oval, in New Zealand's domestic Twenty20 competition, Wilson and Hamish Marshall were keeping their team on track for victory.

Feeling confident, Wilson launched Tarun Nethula down the ground for what looked a certain six. Small, however, had other ideas.

The 12th man flung himself skyward to pluck the ball from the air but, realising he was being carried over the boundary rope, had the wherewithall to palm the ball back into play and prevent a six.

Mason, Small's team-mate who had run along the boundary to assist his colleague, quickly realised the ball was still live, and that a catch was there for the taking.

He dived forward and pouched it before hitting the turf. The Knights, though, would still go on to win the match.
