A good many years ago, a Scot was threatened with being jailed for contempt 
of court (in a Scottish court) for replying with "aye", instead of "yes". 
However, those days are gone now, and in the past they must remain. Before 
going on, you shouldn't infer from my quoting Flower of Scotland that I like 
the song - I don't.  It's a tuneless dirge, like God Save the Queen and most 
other anthems bar the Welsh and the French.

Will independence happen?  Possibly not, but fings won't be the way they 
used to be.
