John , from this brief summary , it would seem good to read , Paxmans " The English a portrait of a People " is also excellent , despite his remarks about some place in the south , where some gentlemen !!!!! ??? go to have their buttocks caned ! the French have some acid remarks about this English pheromone , if this is the correct word ?
