Here is a page from Wikipedia.  About three years ago I went to a talk on A.C.L., their ships are RoRo in the main hull and carry containers on deck.  They are amongst the biggest ships coming to Liverpool, on the N.Atlantic run they are subject to lots of stress due to not having transverse bulkheads.  They have external  longitudional straps on the hull.  The rate of wear is quite high.

The RENA has longitudional bulkheads but no tween decks and the ship is 21 years old.  The ship will have been subjected to all sorts of stress through sitting on the reef and the bad weather since grounding.
