I must say that, if you take a larger glass and pour 3" of rum into it and
then fill it with Coca Cola. It makes a pleasant drink. Especially, when my
whiskey bottle needs renewing.

Coca Cola has never been top of my list of things to drink.  Undiluted
sulphuric acid, and arsenic in any solution, come way down, and Coca Cola is
not far up the list from them.  You might deduce from this that I don't like
the stuff, and you'd be correct.  Partly it's because I don't like the
people who make it - they are on a par with Tesco.  Truth to tell, I lost my
appetite for fizzy drinks one day in BI, after too quickly downing a large
amount of something (probably lemonade) to quench a thirst.  The after
effects were painful.

 

Am I the only one who laughs in derision at references to "still water", ie,
natural water out of the reservoir or spring? One assumes the fizz has been
taken out of it. I except only poetic references.
