appreciate your view re Penderyn – I will look for it, my local purveyor of fine wines doesn’t have it.
As you are a scotch drinker, you may be interested or may already posses, an excellent reference book [actually it is termed, ‘A connoisseur’s guide to the single malt whiskies of Scotland’] by Michael Jackson [Drink’s journalist of the year and five-time Glenfiddich Award winner] named, “Complete Guide to Single Malt Scotch”.  It is a review of many/most of the single malts of Scotland presently available.





    here is a few I have tasted in the last year or two.......................I particularly like Old Pulteney............................................

I think that it was a pleasant drink, as I also like a few of the American ones and the one Canadian whiskey that I tried many years ago. However I am a Scots drinker really, and at £36.00  a bottle you can buy a big choice of malts. My little book says that I have now had 20 of them. Although Wales can boast that they were distilling whisky before Scotland. They have the oldest distillery in Great Britain.
