if the levees hold we should be ok – but just in case I have my inflatable life raft ready!
folks further over to the west of nola won’t be so lucky when the morganza spillway is opened today to divert some of the water from the swollen mississippi.
already the spillway is open running water from the river to lake pontchartrain just up river from new orleans.
