On the TV quiz game, The Weakest Link, this evening, a young chap displayed a dreadful lack of knowledge of most things and ended up winning it.  One answer I recall clearly came when he was asked, "Who fought at the Battle of Stirling [Bridge] in 1297, and was later called the Guardian of Scotland?"  "Robert Burns," he said.
