Colin,

There is a story, probably true, that when the late Roy Castle was performing in Glasgow, he had displayed his multi-instrumental talents just that bit too much for some tastes - for a voice from the audience commented, a wee bit unfairly, "Is there no end to this man's talents?" So I found myself asking, "Is there no escape from glass in this new world?" Do they ever see the world around them except as an image in some sheet of glass? If everyone's in banking, advertising, and the like, who makes the glass?
