An impressive bridge. You are correct, as long as the ship doesn't sink, in which case the calculations are out.  You will ask, what chance a ship sinking right on the bridge? Indeed, and what chance a wave destroying the SW cooling ability of the pumps in the Japanese nuclear power stations?  In the Independent the other day, a lady who sounded as if she's high up in something recommended the SW pumps in all such plants should be situated at 25 metres above the sea to obviate their being knackered by the sea.  This would be fine, I think, as long as they kept the reactors inactive.
