Quite a man.

Reading through it, I note the reference to Samuel Pepys. I look for and can't find my copy of Pepys' Diary. Disappeared.  My Adam ancestors in Paisley, as did many other people there, loaned money on the security of properties in and around the town, but they didn't amass a fortune. Certainly not one that came down to me.
