Nazis were hanged for similar or less after the Nuremberg trials.  They tied
prisoners were tied down, doused them with water, and left them to freeze to
death outside in winter with thermometers attached - all in the interests of
saving the lives of airmen who came down in water.  Of course, like the
Guatemalans, they were unter mensch, so of no account.  Had the Yanks never
heard of condoms?  Strictly speaking, the Nazi procedures (stretching a
point by using  the word moral in this context) were morally a few steps up
from the other - the Yanks were interested only in protecting the health of
promiscuous servicemen.
