the proposed site is 2 city blocks ne of the 9/11 site – 2 bloody great buildings separate the two.
it is highly unlikely that gingrich and boehner have any idea where the proposed site is, having got  their info from rush limbaugh – and that was good enough.
from the anti protest one might suppose the muslim commmunity center was being built in place of the world trade center!

Would this be the mosque that is not going to be built near the 11/9 site?   I understand the appropriate persons in the local Muslim community decided it was not worth all the aggravation, and abandoned the idea of building it in a position the right wing called "near the site of 9/11".  In fact, the proposed site was not in any sense of the word "near" that locus.
