[BITList] Turn the tables?

John,

Is there no end to this tweaking of education by the terminally fidgety?  Learning tables by nine?  Good God, we learned them by age 6 or 7 up to 12 times.  Dad learned them up to 15.  Simple - teach the basics good and early, and forget all the useless crap.

Incidentally:

No it isn't. There is no "British" education system, any more than there is an (oft quoted) "British" legal system.
