Wodehouse's WW2 role in Germany is being reassessed in the light of recently released archives.  I gather his role wasn't quite as naive as we have been led to believe.  I still like Jeeves.

On another point, related only in that it involves recently released archives, the Edward who abdicated for the love of Mrs Simson was shaping up to be a disaster as King.  So Mrs Simson is due our thanks.
