The video would have been handy during some trips to the USA.  Even here, few people know all the baffling nitty-gritty of the subject - as long as they know England does not equal the UK, that's as much as is needed for normal life. Would that the media knew even that much.  I do take issue with the script where it drifts into Anglo-centricism. (a) The C of E is not "the official state religion" of the UK, albeit its bishops sit in the Lords.  (b) The divine right of Kings is not, and never has been, a concept to which the Scots subscribe, eg, I am not a subject of HM the Queen, but a citizen of the UK.  Scottish monarchs were primus inter pares, at least until Jamie the Saxt was seduced by life in London, when it all went pear shaped.

I was impressed by the speaker's diction.
