All valid criticism - all, that is, bar her (alleged) poke at Audrey Hepburn.  In our family, one doesn't criticise Audrey Hepburn.

The current subsitute for comprehensible speech in this area involves the constant use by sections of the young of " .... like that."  As in, "Ah wiz luk a'," and variations such as "Amla a' ".  Consider the effect when it is speeded up to become a mere punctuation mark. Often the tale being told consists only of the above, accompanied by other grunts, and shrugs.
