The man's a moron - moreover, a pernicious moron.  It is permitted to build any number of mosques near the site of the World Trade Centre, or as many as planning laws allow, but (big but), nobody is building any mosque in New York, let alone near that site.  People like that dickhead are immune to the facts, since the facts get in the way of their message.  I believe there is a McDonalds closer to the site than the Islamic Centre actually proposed. The latter will come complete with basketball court, gym, swimming pool, and the usual American accoutrements.  It is not necessary to enter a discussion about Islam to understand the difference between a mosque and a club open to all.
