Just before our recent election, Julia Gillard called Kevin Rudd and said she had an idea on how to increase their votes out in the bush.
They both all dressed up in Driza Bone coats, RM Williams boots and Akubra hats, bought a Blue Heeler cattle dog and headed north.

Eventually the found an isolated outback pub, walked into the bar and Julia ordered two of their best beers while the cattle dog lay down at their feet. 

'Certainly, Prime Minister' said the barman, 'two best beers coming up'

They sat sipping their beers and nodding to people who came in.

After a bit a grizzled old stockman, complete with bull whip came in from the other bar, used his whip to lift the dog's tail, had a look, snorted and walked out.

A few minutes later another old stockman came in, lifted the dog's tail, had a look, snorted and walked out.

Julia and Kevin were quite puzzled by this so the asked the barman what it was all about.

'Well' said the barman, 'somebody told them there was a cattle dog in here with two arseholes'
