Thanksgiving Day is a major public holiday in the USA and is always the last Thursday in November – usually workers have friday off also, to go shopping. For reasons I do not know, the Friday is known as Black Friday.
To me Thanksgiving Day is when England [King George] decided he didn’t need this colony of troublemakers!
