God almighty !!  Time honoured tradition my arse !!  People who wish to go bare arsed in the kilt should just wear the bloody thing and stop quoting fictitious traditions in support of their stance.  Incidentally, women don't wear the kilt, just as men don't wear the sari - the lassies in the photo are wearing tartan skirts.
