Mike,
>From what I read, it's all a pinko commie Muslim plot to subvert Mom's apple pie. I recall being in the passenger seat when my sister drove 4 of us north to Durness via Inverness one day a few years back. Margaret went to the US in 1956 and still lives there. All the way I suffered shrieks of, "I hate these circles", "I hate these single track roads". After a time I suffered them from the back seat, after being ejected from the front for uncivil langage. Entering Inverness - a place I had visited only once, back in the 50s when it was a one-horse town, sort of - we encountered five roundabouts in quick succession. I recall we went round a couple twice before I took command and directed us into a supermarket carpark. After a bit of shopping therapy while I scouted the way ahead, we went on. Basically as with the people in the report, she refused to come to terms with them.
Hugh.
