I'm willing to believe it, which doesn't make it true.  The problem with assessing the truth or otherwise of a report critical of the US, is that often worse has been proven true.  One way of hiding the truth is to get it touted as a conspiracy theory, the madder the better.  Hide it among the daft tales about the moon landings being fake.  Nobody believes conspiracy theories.
