More propaganda in the same vein as America won the war.

Austal, a Western Australian Company, designed the Independence at their WA
yard south of Perth and built the vessel in Mobile by their subsidiary
company (with an American company to abide by US law) for General Dynamics.
They have 10 more on order.

Those who visited the yard at the Fremantle Reunion saw a smaller version of
the vessel under construction for a possible commercial buyer, it was being
built on spec at that time.
