[BITList] Monster Shredder

Is this machine an actual industrial shredder of fridges, etc, or something made for fun?  The Doxford crankcase would do a good job of shredding - 3 cranks and 6 webs would make an impression on most things, and 5 to 6 loads at a time.  In Kincaids fitting (erecting) shops we always hesitated before going into a crankcase, and the B&W only had 1 crank and 2 webs - the top piston eccentrics weren't as big a threat.  Though the flywheel had two jacks against the teeth to keep it still (before the turning gear was installed), the thought always crossed my mind, and we had all heard the tale of the man who fell into a crankcase and wasn't scooped back out again.  I guess he was shredded.
