Michty me !! Porridge is on the way back ?  I hadn't realised it was away.
Sugar in porridge, yukkk - and such a kerfuffle to source and cook it.  My
dad got his from the Coop, stuck it in a pan with water and salt, cooked it,
then ate it. We do the same. Also, in this weather the birds love it, cooked 
or uncooked.

Apparently it should be supped using a horn spoon, the milk being ice cold 
and in a separate bowl.
