I once had the privilege of his band accompanying me when I came back from the gents during a concert in the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow, many years ago.  My heel caught the stair and I stumbled.  Quick as a flash (literally) a spotlight came on me, the band paused, and I got a drum roll.  I must be getting old - lovely as they were, I found the nudes a wee bit distracting, La Paloma being a favourite of the McIntyre household.  Janet only heard the sound, being next door.
