G'dy folks,

All being well my wife and I will be leaving Townsville tomorrow afternoon for around six weeks tomorrow afternoon.

We are going first to Brisbane by train as we have been having severe floods over the last three weeks here in Queensland and it would be unwise for us to drive down to Lismore in Northern New South Wales.

Our car will be travelling on the train with us on a vehicle carriage at the rear of the train.

From Brisbane we have about a 2 and a half hour drive to our destination.

The train takes nearly 24 hours from here to Brisbane.

Friends of our have a macadamia plantation and when they go off for a holiday we are usually asked to 'house sit' for them.

They will be away for four weeks and then we will stay with them for about two weeks to see them.

Their internet situation is extremely poor. An intermittent dial up is all that is achievable.

So, communications will be far an few between I expect. 

Those with Google Earth can 'see' where we are going to  by pasting this into Google Earth.
