These men, whoever they are, and if they exist in any quantity, were not
brought up by my mother.  I am the eldest of 6.  My 3 sisters are the
youngest 3 of the family, and they were always too young to do housework,
fetch coal, carry home bags of spuds, hold skeins of wool with outstretched
arms while mother wound it in balls, etc.
