McAfee didn't apologise, at least not according to the report,  The CEO said he "wanted to apologise" - a buzz phrase heard far too often nowadays.  Expressing a wish to do something is not quite the same as actually doing it, eg, I want to sleep with that lady, I want to climb Everest. Did they say "procedures have been changed", etc.  They always do.
