[BITList] RAF Bentley Priory March-April 2008 - Derelict Places

Developers define waste ground as any area that lacks buildings capable of being sold at a profit.  When Bentley Priory disappears, the site will be waste ground.  These bloody "developments" are a plague.  Entering Kilmacolm on a bus to Glasgow yesterday I was surprised to see a new sign in a field, announcing a development of such and such a number of villas.  Nearby is the sign with the name of the farm that will, no doubt exist only in some naff title alluding to it - Denniston Drive, Denniston Way, Denniston Place, etc.
