could also be a publicity seeking ass da who is looking to enlarge his resume for a career in politics (the puritan party - or the "don't do as I do, do as I say" party [mr. craig, etc])

it's always strange to me how a large part of the american public become fanatical about religion and love righteousness - almost sadistic!

puritans at heart still...............

Apparently the lady in question wants nothing to do with it at this late juncture, having accepted cash in compensation a long time ago, so I'd guess the simple answer is, somebody has it in for him.  I hold no brief for Polanski, but in any just world a few bankers would be in court before him, starting with the Lehman Bros clown who started it all.
