yo robbo

what brought the building of another causeway bridge span to mind?

a second parallel span was finished in 1969, I haven't heard of any plan for a 3rd.

it would be a billion dollars to do that. the city is virtually broke - workers being let go.

no money for a 3rd span nor any cogent reason for one.

they are building a much needed elevated fly-over from the nearby Interstate 10 to the beginning of the causeway, but that is less than 1 mile.
