Oh' weel dae I mind, in the days of Lang Syne,
When I was a laddie sae wee,
Whenever I'd gang tae dae onything wrang,
My faither wid lecture tae me,
He'd sy tae me 'bairn, stay away frae the women
for you'll rue it the day ye begin'
And I never thought twice about takin advice,
For twa heids are better than yin.
But me being young, all I wanted was fun
So the first thing I looked for was a wife,
And I found a wee tart, with a wee warm heart,
Tae sew on my buttons for life,
I called her my plum, and my wee currant bun,
And I tickled her under the chin,
And she said to me 'Pat, get your hand oot o' that'
For you'll rue it the day ye begin.
Last Saturday night, I got such a fright,
That I nearly jumped oot o' my skin,
For to my despair, my wife, I declare,
had geid me the present o' twins,
I says tae her 'Jean, whit the hell dae ye mean
That's a terrible thing that ye've done'
And she cried oot aloud 'Man, ye ought tae be proud
for twa heids are better than yin'
ooroo
Bad typists of the word, untie.
