but like politicians everywhere, they already have every perk in the book (for life); I'm sure they are sniggering at the thought of some of their bennies being reduced - are they going to vote for that - not bloody likely................................................

if you didn't already know, politicians here will literally do anything legal or illegal, moral or immoral, just or unjust, to get re-elected; because once they have had a taste of the sweet life and goodies in the senate or house of reps they cannot tolerate life without it.........................................

consequently, if anything beneficial comes the way of the common herd [electorate], it is merely crumbs from their table. 

it's a sickening, disgusting and dirty business.
